Our Mission statement:
To teach technology and computer skills to people aged 50 plus, living in the Marlborough Sounds and surrounding districts, in a friendly and enjoyable way using voluntary teachers from the same age group.
To give older adults the opportunty to learn skills that will enable them to continue their contribution to society, thus enabling them to participate in the age in which we live and hence encourage lifetime learning.
To offer a means for older adults to communicate with family, friends and others in the community and also make new friends, through interactive telecommunications, and ths improve social cohension.
Members are to be encouraged to learn at their own pace and in their own manner.

In 2016 we are introducing some workshop sessions, where participants exchange knowledge and experiences under the guidance of a group leader. So far, we plan workshops on "E Books" and "Unhooking from Social Media". Please check the calendar for the dates for these, as well as additional topics.
Courses for 2016 are currently being finalised. Adverisements will be sent out when the schedule is completed. Also check in our calendar for the schedule. The available courses will include some new entries, such as "Desktop publising using Scribus (a free program)" as well as some popular courses from 2015.
